Firstly
I should very much apologize for my long hiatus. After blogging and taking
pictures non-stop for the past few months I got a bit sick of it. Nevertheless
I think there should be some new posts very soon? (I hope there are anyway). On
a shoot I did very recently that marks the start of my 'Sister' series, I had
my friend Hannah come along. Hannah brought with her the most amazing 15- 85mm
lens and 6D camera. The shoot required me to be a bit further away than my 50mm
f1/4 required so I borrowed Hannah's lens. After using this beautiful zooming
lens, I realized that for most of my new shoots, i would need a lens like this
or something similar. So I pretty much said no more pictures until you get a
new lens. And that day finally came yesterday. After weeks of searching for the
perfect lens to spend my money on ( this is a lie I only googled Hannahs, and
the ones in the canon sale last weekend). A photographer I met at Nirrimi's Picnic (yes you read that right Nirrimi! ahhhhhh!!), was selling her
24-70mm f2.8 lens that had been barely used! And as you can probably tell,
that's the lens in the picture ( credit to whoever's image came up first on
google images). I bought it literally the day she offered it as I thought, this
is my chance!
"Don't buy a
zoom lens!" I hear photographers reading this cry. Well okay I know I
shouldn't buy a zoom lens, but I'm much to poor and undeceive to buy a straight
out 20mm or something like that so hush.
And now after this very exciting news you should see lots of new piccies and lots more ideas in the coming months, hopefully. I need to pass my maths exam first.
